普华永道(PwC)的新研究显示，传统对冲基金正在慢慢接受加密货币投资，但随着市场不断成熟，它们的敞口有限。 普华永道在其2022年第四次年度全球加密对冲基金报告中表示，接受调查的传统对冲基金中，大约有三分之一已经在投资比特币等数字资产。所谓的“多策略”对冲基金最有可能投资，其次是宏观策略公司和股票策略公司。 在目前投资于加密领域的对冲基金中，57%的基金配置给加密货币的资金不到其总管理资产的1%。目前投资的公司中有三分之二计划在2022年底前增加投资。 受访基金将“监管和税收的不确定性”列为投资的最大障碍。具体而言，对冲基金担心的是全球范围内分散的监管环境，以及对如何治理该资产类别的指导不明确。 这项调查是在2022年第一季度进行的，共有89家对冲基金参与了调查。 对冲基金和其他传统资产管理公司一直在关注加密领域的发展，以判断它们是否应该开始投资该领域。虽然一些对冲基金已经成立了加密部门，并开始投资该领域，但大多数公司仍在观望。有趣的是，2021年一项对全球100家对冲基金的调查显示，基金经理预计在五年内将平均10.6%的资金配置到加密货币上。
