八年前，突如其来的小乐透头奖两千多万(新台币，下同)彩金，让在台北开出租车维生的黄荣源彷佛置身天堂，但挥金如土的花钱，让他不到两年时间，又重新跌落“凡间”。这一摔花了六年时间才站起来，他现在只能靠着临时工作生活，却更懂得“珍惜”的真谛。! t# K2 m7 ~, ^& r; }! d4 }' j
在八年前一次小乐透开奖的夜晚，因离婚而陷入情绪低潮的黄荣源，下工后买了一注，结果他一人独得头奖，扣税后还有两千多万元入袋。
' c, H3 g J, T 瞬间变成千万富翁的他，抛下工作游山玩水，天天吃喝玩乐。短短两年，他惊觉，自己的口袋又空了，再度被拉回现实、打回原形。“唉，就像我以前看过的电影情节一样，真是荒唐。”黄荣源十分懊悔地说。/ g9 n. c- T7 g- q! [
用剩的余款买了张机票返台，投靠住在屏东的姐姐，黄荣源六年来足不出户，也从不修边幅，明显与外界脱节，日前才在亲人劝说下，半推半就地到屏东就服站登记每天八百元的临时工作，原以为无法录取，意外接到上工通知后，又开启他另一个人生。8 v5 }! q% S% t! P
九月上工后，他每天早上七点出门，以步行方式清理马路两边的杂草、狗大便及随处张贴的广告纸，中午休息时间到，只要工作还未完成，他也不愿放下手边工作；乡公所管理人员对他的坚持感到不解，但黄荣源说，因为拥有后失去，才知道握在手中的踏实。
# z7 m3 D. ?/ h5 Z3 r# p% x 他认真的态度在临工间形成良性影响，大家也开始对负责的区域产生责任感，还会互相比较谁整理得最干净，打破外界对于“临工”轻松就能领到工资的刻版印象。
