林梧桐，人称“游乐赌王”，1918年生。19岁前往马来西亚，云顶高原有限公司的创办人。1979年，为了表彰林梧桐对马来西亚国家经济所作出的贡献，国王封赐他为爵士。2007年逝世，享年90岁。父亲林石泉，母亲吴万都。

# _! ]' k% c }$ n. S林梧桐于1918年出生在福建安溪，并在那里长大成人。19岁时，他筹了点路费，漂洋过海到达马来西亚的吉隆坡，投靠做木匠的叔父当一名学徒。后来改做小贩，逐步由两手空空而积蓄了一点资金，他省吃俭用以筹措资本，决心要闯一番事业。 , c( Z+ m& c% `; z" y% V
靠“毅力、勤奋和诚实”的经营要诀，他投以几百万美元的资金，将人迹罕至的高山建成著名的云顶游乐园，每年吸引100多万世界各地旅游者，乐园价值已高达近6亿美元；他的挂牌胶园公司“亚地发展”，是一片拥有3.3万公顷橡胶树、棕榈树、可可树的马来西亚十大挂牌种植公司之一；他还在澳大利亚、巴哈马群岛等地买下娱乐场或旅游区，发展成国际性的旅游王国。
