·《天降美食》改编自材自夫妻档作家朱迪·巴雷特和朗·巴雷特在1982年出版的同名儿童小说。但是这部续集却并不是改编自这两位小说家写的续集《匹兹堡酱菜》（Pickles to Pittsburgh），而是编剧的原创故事。
